Water Polo
Men & Women
Starts Sept 15th
9pm @ Scotia Pool
Game play involves swimming, players passing the ball while
being defended by opponents, and scoring by throwing into
a net defended by a goalie. Must be 16 and up and there
is a $5.00 drop in fee. Start Sept. 15th to December 10th
and will re-start January 2010. Register at Scotia Pool

Slo-Pitch Tournament
Saturday, Sept 26

Bible Hill REC Park Fields, College Road
Each fall, the Langille Athletic Centre have student/staff
Slo-Pitch Tournament. Teams from both on and off campus
enter, as well as the staff team. This has been a successful
activity over the past four years. Contact the Athletic
Centre for more information. All teams must register by
Wed., Sept. 23. No fees involved for staff and students.

Tidal
Rafting
Saturday, Sept. 19
9:30 am - 3 pm
@ Shubenacadie River runners, Maitland.
Enjoy a 3 1/2 hour trip on the Shubenacadie
River, and rafting the Tidal Bore in 8 passenger Zodiacs.
Registration fee for students is $70 and it includes a steak
barbecue at the end of the day.
Transportation provided and leaves Athletic
Centre at 9:00 am SHARP. Register by September 14th at the
Athletic Centre lower level.

Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do classes are held Monday and
Thursday from 8:00-9:30 at the Athletic Centre with instructor
Wayne Langille. Classes start on Sept. 7. Cost $80 per semester
for students and $100 per semester for community. Contact
the Athletic Centre for further information 893-6660.

Funspiels
Dates TBA
The Athletic Department provides students and staff the
opportunity to participate in curling funspiels. Travel
is provided, as well as equipment to play. A registration
fee of $5. per curler is required for each of the November
and January events. Watch for Athletic Centre Notices.

Nite"
Sunday evenings 6:00-9:00 in the gymnasium.
All students are encouraged to participate in open gym time
each Sunday during prime time. Basketball is played from
6:00-7:30, followed by volleyball and badminton from 7:30-9:00.
Varsity games or practices do not occupy the gym during
this time.

Racquetball
Ladder

A competition ladder for racquetball will take place all
season and culminate with the top 8 finishers competing
in play-offs in February and March. Clinics are provided
for those wishing to improve their game. Watch for Athletic
Centre Notices.

Table Tennis
Club
We are forming a table tennis club at
the Athletic Centre for students. Starting time and designated
evenings to be announced. Students interested in assuming
an administration role are asked to contact Kent at the
Athletic Centre.
