The
story of the NSAC is interwoven with the history and development
of the agriculture industry of Nova Scotia and the Atlantic
Provinces. The institution also figures prominently in the history
of the Truro and Bible Hill area.
A summary of the History of the
NSAC based on historical research conducted by Dale Ells,
Dean Emeritus is presented. For a more complete history
of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, one is advised to read
Shaped Through Service, a 279 page illustrated history
of the College. Copies are available at the NSAC Bookstore or
from the author.
Almost all of the class pictures
have been put on-line. They are scans of the originals that once hung in Cumming Hall and are now preserved in the MacRae Library.
