Canada-Wide Science Fair 2007
Scientists and Engineers - We
need your help!
Are you familiar with the Canada-Wide Science
Fair? It is the annual national high school science fair, which
will be held at NSAC in Truro in May of 2007.
Approximately 450 judges are needed in seven dimensions including
automotive, biotechnology, earth and environmental sciences, engineering
and computing sciences, health sciences, life sciences and physical
and mathematical sciences. Judges who speak French fluently are
particularly needed; as we expect about 50 projects will have francophone-only
student exhibitors.

Last Chance for 2006 Tax Savings
The Development Office will be processing donations
made for the calendar year right up until we clear the mail in early
January. Any donations received or postmarked before January
1, 2007 will be issued a receipt dated in 2006. So, there
is still time to make a contribution to the Fall Mail Appeal that
began in November. We would also ask that you honour your outstanding
pledge toward the 2nd Century Endowment Campaign if you have one
before year end. We will be sending reminders in the spring for
those with multi-year pledges.
Your gifts to NSAC are very important. If you are
considering a donation for the 2005 tax year through any of our
campaigns, please remember the December 31st deadline.
