ACAA Athletes of the Week Jan 11, 2010

Kelsey Harpman and Thomas Patriquin

Kelsey Harpman, a dual sport (rugby and basketball) athlete from Truro and a 4th year Bachelor of Science student at NSAC, had two excellent games this weekend, in a weekend that saw the Rams sweep their opponents. On Saturday against Holland College Hurricanes, Kelsey had 22 pts and eight rebounds, including the last four points to put the game into OverTime.

In the win against Crandall , Kelsey again held a hot hand as she scored 16 pts including going four to four from the line in the later stages of the game to ensure the victory. All this in addition to being the point guard and running the offense. Kelsey is a leader on and off the court/field for the NSAC Rams!

Thomas Patriquin (from Tatamagouche ) and a first year Bachelor of Science student, playing the shooting guard position, had strong games this weekend for the Rams in battles against Holland College and Crandall University. In the Holland game, he led the Rams with 17 (6 for 8 from the field) and against Crandall he had 11 pts and eight rebounds. As a first year guard he has taken his game very quickly to the university/college standard.
