Year End Purchasing and Fleet Card Reporting
The Scotiabank statements dated April 15, 2009 will cover
purchases from March 16, 2009 to April 15, 2009.
To ensure that purchases are posted in the correct fiscal
year, please take the following steps:
When you receive your emailed statement, look for the column
that says Post Date. It is to the far left of the
statement. This is the date that determines which fiscal
year the purchase will be posted in. Transactions with a
posting date of March 31, 2009 or earlier will be posted
to the old year, 2008/09. All transactions with a posting
date of April 1, 2009 onward will be posted to the new year
2009/10.
Draw a line on the statement between the last transaction
posted on March 31, 2009 and the first transaction posted
April 1, 2009. Make a photocopy of the statement. Prepare
a transaction log for each portion of the statement. One
for old year and one for new year. Attach original receipts
to the corresponding transaction log and statement.
Please forward both portions of your statement to Financial
Services as soon as possible. To meet the Department of
Finance upload deadline, statements must be received
no later than Friday, April 24, 2009.
Please contact Financial Services if you have any questions/concerns
regarding this.
