The wireless network (NSACNet-Open) is going into a pre-operations mode effective today, Tuesday, August 4th. The initial implementation will be in an open manner, service will be available to anyone with a wireless device that can access an 802.11BG signal. Over the next little while we will be implementing a more secure authenticated service. This initial trial is to determine bandwidth requirements and to discover any problems or issues that have not arisen to date. Please note that any existing non-IT services managed wireless access points that may be enabled around campus will interfere with this NSAC initiative and should be turned off ASAP.IT Services will be monitoring this service closely. We apologize in advance, as we expect a few problems and unscheduled outages are possible. Please contact the NSAC Helpdesk if you have questions or concerns.

Hello from Recruitment
Thank you to all of our NSAC ambassadors on behalf of NSAC Recruitment for making our International Guidance Counselor Tour 2009 an incredible experience for our guests, faculty and staff. Conference service was incredible, catering was spectacular, the campus looked great - even in the rain - and the presenters were generous. I can't thank you enough!
Feedback from EduNova was positive and I believe we made some incredible strides toward getting into new schools in the US and made solid contacts among the other counselors. Also, we were remembered for being the most hospitable and unique campus of the tour.
I'd also like to thank all who have committed to helping us with our long term goal of making NSAC THE local university! Our local student and parent reception was well attended by a record number of over 45 guests. For the first time, we've invited our local students and their parents for an informal meet and greet with Student Services, Registry, Enrollment Management and Recruitment. Program representatives were also in attendance to help answer questions. As a perk, we offered to have student IDs processed in addition to presenting gift items for both students and their supporters.
Events like this cannot happen without you. So again, thank you. You deserve a huge round of applause!
All the best,
Monica
