Enhanced Search Tools on the Horizon for MacRae Library
MacRae Library, along with other postsecondary libraries in Atlantic Canada, are currently investigating new and enhanced single search products that will allow users to search multiple databases and catalogues using one interface. In preparation for the move to a new product in the near future, we will not be renewing the contract for our current single search product, which expired on May 31st. However, be on the lookout for future updates regarding this exciting development.
Remember, you may still search for full text articles and abstracts using our many databases (http://nsac.ca/library/mler/bibliogr-databases.asp), search for electronic journal titles in Resolver (http://nsac-resolver.asin-risa.ca/), search for books, journals, government documents and more in our Novanet Catalogue (http://aleph1.novanet.ns.ca/F).
CAB Abstracts 1973 to present now on EBSCO
CAB Abstracts 1973 to present are now available on EBSCO. You may access CAB Abstracts the usual way through the complete listing of databases under CAB Abstracts on MLER Electronic Resources (http://nsac.ca/library/mler/bibliogr-databases.asp#C). Please note that the CAB Abstracts Archive is still available on OvidSP.
We will be hosting more library orientation sessions over the summer months, so stay tuned.
Please contact Elaine MacInnis, University Librarian, at 893-6670 or emacinnis@nsac.ca if you have any questions or would like to introduce yourself.
