Thank You
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their professionalism and efforts shown to me during my time as Minister of Agriculture. Many happy regards,

Upcoming Seminar
New fruit crops under development at the University of Saskatchewan and their potential for the Maritimes.
By Dr. Bob Bors, Department of Plant Science, University of Saskatchewan.
Room: COX 138
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday, June 23, 2009
Dr. Bors heads the fruit breeding program at the University of Saskatchewan. He will give an overview of his breeding program but will emphasize Haskap (Blue honeysuckles/ Lonicera caerulea), dwarf sour cherries, and interspecific strawberries. He is currently spending a month in the Maritimes to gather L. caerulea (also known as L. villosa) as part of his sabbatical.
Recruitment Update
As you maybe aware, we have been quite active this month with finishing up school visits and independent tours on campus. There have been many schools visited over the past few weeks and again, I thank all who participate in helping us.
I would like to remind campus that all tours are filtered through Recruitment, as we have had a few schools on site without being advised and without proper delivery of a planned activity. We do not give tours to grade nine or lower for Recruitment purposes, but do work with the departments to deliver a tour to lower grades for PR purposes. If a school arrives on campus without prior notice, we cannot change our schedule to accommodate the group - at any time. If you are arranging a tour or activity on your own, please allow Recruitment the courtesy of knowing when there is a group on campus so there are no more surprise visits.
Thanks,
Monica, Janet and Ashley
