Recruitment Update
This was a busy weekend for the recruitment team. During
4H weekend Janet judged the public speaking event. She also
took 40 parents and 4H members on a tour around campus in
the rain.
I attended the Nova Scotia International Student Program
event at CEC. This event brought together international
students from high schools all over Nova Scotia. This is
the third year this for this successful event. Universities
and colleges were invited to deliver scholarships and awards
to graduating students. I had the privilege of awarding
an entrance scholarship to Jaeho (Antonio) Choi. He will
be attending NSAC in the fall, entering the Aquaculture
program.
This weekend also marked the second annual Atlantic Horse
Fair at the AgriDome. It drew a large crowd. Many of which
stopped by NSAC's booth to ask questions and view the display.
Thank you to Carollyn Crewe and Lauranne Sanderson for setting
up the display and working at the booth.
I also want to thank Amanda Greaves, who accompanied me
to the NSISP event and horse fair.
Until next time,
Ashley
