Gordon Eaton Retires
After 35 years of service with the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal here on our campus, Gordon Eaton is going to take a well deserved retirement. All are welcome to stop by Jenkins Hall Lounge at 3:00 p.m.today to join us in wishing Gordon a long and happy retirement.
Chute Animal Nutrition Centre Opening
Staff and faculty are invited to the grand opening for the Chute Animal Nutrition Centre at 21 Farm Lane. The opening will take place on May 27th at 1:00 p.m. A reception and guided tours will follow.
Bus Drivers Needed
The campus will require a number of qualified bus drivers for the new 22-passenger bus. A Class Four license is required, as well as completion of a one-day Bus Familiarization Course at a cost of $187.00/person (payable by department/unit). Anyone interested in becoming qualified to drive the bus is asked to contact Fred Fergus (ffergus@nsac.ca or 893- 3135) as soon as possible.

Designer On-Site in the Print Centre
Graphic Designer, Loukas Crowther will be on-site on Thursday, May 28 working in the NSAC Print Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you have a design project you would like to discuss with him, please stop by or contact him in the Print Centre that day at 4737. The Print Centre is hoping to provide a designer on-site every couple of weeks. However, design services are always available virtually (contact Glenn at 4737 or xerox@nsac.ca).
NSAC Friends of the Garden Plant Sale
NSAC Friends of the Garden plant sale will be specializing in perennials, alpines and woodland plants.The sale will be taking place on Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Collins Building, 160 College Road.
Congratulations Sarah Morris
A special congratulations is extended to our Marketing Manager, Sarah Morris on the successful completion of the University Management Course from the University of Manitoba. Sarah braved the snowy weather in Banff, Alberta during the week long training.

Scholarship Spotlight
Truro Area Students Received Awards at NSAC
NSAC recently recognized its outstanding students at the annual Scholarship Banquet. Among the list of this year's winners were Truro area residents (from left to right ) Andrew Lynds, a second year Bachelor of Engineering student, recipient of the $800 John (Reg) Moore Memorial Scholarship. Krista Brouwer, a fourth year B Sc (Agr) student majoring in Animal Science who received the $2,000 Rhonda Rae Rumbolt Memorial Scholarship and a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Co-op Atlantic. Kenton McNutt a second year B Sc (Agr) student, recipient of the $600 A B Banks Memorial Scholarship and , seated, Sarah Weatherby, a third year Bachelor of Technology student in Environmental Horticulture, who received the $500 John Higgins Memorial Scholarship and the $300 Bible Hill Garden Club Bursary.
