Staff Wellness Conference
The Staff Wellness Conference is coming up next week, May
13 - 14th. Over 300 people have registered. The conference
is an excellent opportunity to see colleagues from offices
across the province and gather information to help balance
our responsibilities. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage
of the conference and everything it has to offer.
Information Session for Faculty
The MacRae Library will be holding an interactive information
session for faculty on Friday, May 8th from 1:00 - 2:00
p.m. The session is called "Maximize your use of the
MacRae Library." Coffee and treats are provided, bring
questions and a laptop. View the poster

New graduate students are also welcome, but space is limited

to reserve a space.
H1N1 Update
New cases of H1N1 (human swine influenza) continue to be

Science for Sustainability Soil,
Agronomy & Atmosphere Conference
The joint annual conference of the Canadian Society of
Agronomy (CSA), Canadian Society of Soil Science (CSSS),
and Canadian Society of Agriculture and Forest Meteorology
(CSAFM) will be held on August 5-7 at the University of
Guelph. For more information on the conference and how to

Scholarship Spotlight
Bruce Trenholm/Atlantic ‘86 Scholarship
The 2008 recipient of the $500 Bruce Trenholm/Atlantic ‘86
Scholarship was Christopher Versteeg, Norton, NB, a 2nd
year B.Sc.(Agr) Pre-Vet student at NSAC. Beverley Austin,
Vice-President, NS/Newfoundland Holstein Branch, is shown
congratulating Christopher. Christopher was also the recipient
of a $1,000 NSAC Alumni Family Bursary, a $1,000 NS Federation
of Agriculture 100th Anniversary Scholarship and a $750
Dairy Farmers of NB Memorial Scholarship.
