Program Overview
If you’re interested in becoming a vet, start with our
Pre-Vet program. You get the hands-on education you need to
apply to, enter and succeed in vet school. When you’re
dealing with animal health, small class sizes and up-to-date
research facilities make all the difference.
Here’s the best part. Our Animal Science and Pre-Vet
Club helps you get the extra hands-on experience you’re
looking for. The club plans events and trips to help you learn
even more about your profession and the animals you’ll
be caring for. They can even help you pick up some animal-related
work at our animal facilities, caring for cows, sheep poultry
and mink.
After two years, you can apply to the Atlantic Veterinary College
or choose to complete a four-year degree at NSAC. With two years
of study behind you, you can finish your Bachelor of Science
(Agr.) in only two more years. You have the option of finishing
your degree in any major, however, most students choose to complete
their degree in either Animal Science or Aquaculture to increase
their knowledge of and experience with animals.
